Postponed?

4 years ago By Jonathan Scargill

Has your game fallen foul of the weather?

Just a polite reminder that should your game be postponed, you are still required to notify the Results Secretary.

Some Clubs have been doing this and if that's you; then thanks.
If you have neglected to notify the League of your postponement, then it is in your interests to do so.

From next week, any Club failing to notify the Results Secretary of a postponement (or a result - obviously! lol) will be subject to a standard fine for failing to ring the result in.

Personally, I hate fining Clubs, particularly in the current financial climate, and sympathise with the fact that it is hard enough to pay the bills involved in running your Club.

However, if we are not properly notified of a postponement, we cannot operate the League effectively and reschedule your 'snowed-off' matches.

This will, inevitably, lead to these games being crammed in midweek at the end of the season; a situation that nobody really wants.

So please, help us to help you and text me if your match is off.

I am aware that common sense would suggest a postponement if there is 3 feet of snow across the district. However, I cannot be certain that you and the lads haven't been out with the snow shovels to shift it in time for kick off.

SO PLEASE LET ME KNOW!

:)

Cheers,
Jon
League Secretary
