The Football Association
RESPECT

All players and officials should now be well aware of the Football Association's successful 'Respect' campaign.

Most clubs will have received the 'Respect' pack and it is advantageous to review it with your players before each season.

There is nothing worse than a game taking place without a referee, so, in the interests of retaining the referees we currently have and recruiting more for the future, please treat your officials with respect at all times.

The referee is there to enjoy the game as much as you are and does not deserve to be abused in any fashion.

THE LEAGUE TAKES ANY ALLEGATION OF ABUSING MATCH OFFICIALS EXTREMELY SERIOUSLY. ANY CLUBS FOUND GUILTY OF THIS OFFENCE WILL BE DEALT WITH SWIFTLY AND HARSHLY.

It is the club's responsibility to control their players, supporters and officials - this includes the bar afterwards, where supporters, players and officials can still be sent off.
