Ossett Common Rovers Division One Champions 2004/2005

The now-defunct Ossett Common Rovers Sunday team of the 2004/2005 season.

In a titanic season-long struggle with Alverthorpe Working Mens Club, Common looked like they had thrown away the title with a draw at Grasmere Road. Alverthorpe needed four points from their last two games and capitulated, leaving the Ossett outfit top of the pile, gaining back-to-back promotions.

You may be able to spot a young and athletic midfielder by the name of Scargill lurking on the back row. Oh to be as fit as that again!! (And that IS a dodgy side-parting by the way - young and foolish.)

A larger version of this picture can be found in the [PHOTOS] section of the site (if you need to see that hairstyle again in widescreen).

Submitted by Jon Scargill.
